Please acknowledge SawStop Use Agreement to use new table saw

Summary: To use the new woodshop table saw, we require your acknowledgement on a usage agreement. See details below.

If you already use the woodshop, or would like to in the future, you're going to want to use the fantastic new table saw that was donated by a generous member.  It is very powerful, has a professional grade fence, and incorporates the industry leading safety devices.  Although none ever says, “Today’s a great day to cut my finger off,” over 4000 fingers are amputated on table saws every year in the US.  So our saw has the finger sensing and blade retraction mechanism that just leaves users with a nick of the skin rather than losing a finger.

This saw does operate differently and to avoid false triggers and a $260 charge, the user must understand what to avoid when using it.  To help everyone understand how to use it, we created the following "SawStop Use Agreement."  It's important that all those that want to use the saw read it so to track who has read it, we'll have you sign it and then we will activate your badge to use it (it has a badge reader on it).

Follow this link to sign the agreement if you want to use the saw.  If you have any questions, drop me a line.

Thanks,Dave Hearn(one of the wood shop managers)
